Warm-up and Cool-Down Principle
Each workout effort should be preceded by a warm-up and conclude with a cool-down. The following effects are created by warm-up and cool-down.
Warm-up:
- Increases body temperature
- Increases respiration rate and heart rate
- Increases flexibility and reduces chance of muscular injury
Cool-down:
- Speeds removal of metabolic wastes
- Help prevent cramps, tightness and soreness
