Head Coach Tommy Jackson brings a wealth of knowledge alone with over 36 years of coaching experience to the City of Atlanta Dolphins Swim Team. A native of Moultrie, Georgia, he served three years in the United States Army as an artillery man while serving one year of combat during the Vietnam War. He later attended Albany State University in Albany Georgia from 1972-1976, where he swam and dove competitively for the school's Swimming and diving team. I am Coach Marianne Countryman and I have worked with the City of Atlanta Dolphins Swim Team in the Aquatics Department since 2012. I am a USA certified Swim Coach, Level II US Master's Swim Coach, Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard certified. My love of swimming began as an age group swimmer where I competed from age 9-14 for YMCA and AAU clubs. I qualified for my first National Level Meet at age 12 in the 200 Butterfly. 32 years later, I decided to go back to swimming and am now an accomplished competitive Master's swimmer competing from the local level to the international stage. Kamau Hogan has nearly 2 decade of Aquatic experience from lifeguarding to teaching learn-to-swim and coaching swim team. He started his aquatics career in Greensburg, NY under the tutelage of Coach Theodore Dowie assisting with the Fairview Aquatics Swim Team (F.A.S.T.) He has gone on to coach for the Decatur/DeKalb YMCA gators, Gwinnett County Parks and Rec. Fundamentals of Competitive Amateur Swimming (F.O.C.A.S.) and the City of Atlanta Dolphins (C.A.D.) swim team. Kamau Hogan has dedicated the last 14 years with the City of Atlanta Parks and Recreation providing a safe aquatic environment for patrons and the best of quality swimming instruction and training.
